Awarded 4 stars by The Houston Chronicle in March 2009, Rainbow Lodge is considered one of Houston's "finest restaurants". Focused on Gulf Seafood and Local Game, The Lodge features lunch, dinner and Sunday Brunch. Chef Randy Rucker and Owner Donnette Hansen's attention to detail is reflected in everything from the comfortable Log Cabin setting & landscaped grounds to the seasonally changing menus. Insiders know to always try Rucker's tasting menus at night and go for the business lunch ($14.95-3 courses) at lunch. Sophisticated but not stuffy, menu hits include: Sea Trout and Amberjack-Crudo Style, Housemade game sausages and Charcuterie, Local Gulf Fish. Grilled Bison, Wild Boar, Duck, Quail, Elk and Fantastic Beef. With 3000 square feet of kitchen gardens, Rucker grows many heirloom vegetables and herbs to complete his dishes. Brunch enthusiasts enjoy casual patio dining with 99 cent mimosas and half price wines by the glass. Live Music Fridays 6-9 on the wine deck.
