We have been to McCrady's many times and have never had a less than stellar experience. I had the lamb and my husband had the pork duo...both superb and cooked to perfection. Our service was prompt and unobtrusive and the atmosphere is perfect for an intimate dinner. It is wonderful to enjoy dining in a restaurant where my husband car hear and we don't have to shout at one another!

Our party of five had the 4-course prix fixe menu. While the menu read well, we had mixed reviews on the food. Highlights were the Waygu beef with crisp farro and the rutabaga bisque, but the pork entree was too dry to eat and the chocolate "mousse" was ... well, just suffice it to say it wasn't mousse. Having eaten at Husk two days before (same executive chef), we'd recommend it first. Our service at McCrady's was excellent, and the wine list was superb. Just wish the food had been more consistent. Seemed like they worked too hard on trying to be "over the top" but missed a little.

McCrady's is a special. If you are looking to celebrate that special occasion, McCrady's is that place to go in Charleston. Our table was located in a simple but elegantly decorated room with a gently burning fireplace, the waitstaff was properly attentive but not intrusive. We can't say enough about how much we loved the menu. Charleston is known for its fine dining but we thought the menu here was as diverse as any in the city. Exotic dishes like barbecued sweet breads and grilled octopus share the menu with the more traditional Charleston dishes. Highly recommend!

Had Restaurant week dinner special here and it was fabulous! Even though it was a special price fixe, the choices were creative and the kitchen did not skimp on anything! Very creative but then again would expect no less from this restaurant. Our waiter was attentive, suggestive and would always timely appear just when needed. Know Husk is getting all the raves right now but you would be doing yourself a disservice if you did not eat here on your next trip to Charleston!
